I am reluctant to perform a Clean Boot as it removes all apps and is not sure to solve the initial problem.Īlso, I frequently need to boot from my repair disc since the anniversary update when the computer freezes with black screens and the white juggling balls. I was considering updating my Quicken to Quicken for Mac but apparently you don’t recommend that. I have used Quicken for many years and was concerned about using a Mac with it. It is my first try at a Mac and I love it. I have done all of the uninstall/reinstall, safe mode install, mondo patch, qcleanui.exe, password reset, R 9 install, R 8 install, and several other attempts to get Quicken working in Windows 10 with no success. I have a 2013 MacBook Air/13 MacBook Pro with a 27 Thunderbolt Display. I just spent over 6 hours on the phone with Quicken tech support and they say it is an issue with Windows.
I didn't have/or use a password to get into Quicken. I bank online and don't want or need to download from the bank. Since then, Quicken will start to open and then immediately close with no error messages. I have been using Quicken for years and have the 2016 version. I have been using Quicken 2016 Deluxe for several months now and had no issues even when I upgraded to Windows 10.until the anniversary update that was forced on me.
